Cute Cousins

Isaac's sister is in town with her family. Here are some pictures of Eli with the twins, Ava and Maze. They're a few months younger than Eli.

She's all eyes.

What I learned from reading

So I haven't posted in a while, because I haven't had too much to post (still don't, so you might want to stop reading now). I disappeared for a while, reading Breaking Dawn and The Host (the latter of which I really loved). Right now Isaac and I are watching a Jaws marathon on TV and laughing hysterically at the graphics that I am sure were impressive at one point in time. Since it has been a laid-back day, I was catching up on my friends blogs and here are some things I learned:
1. Chelsea went camping only to wake up and learn that the camp ground was a Nudist campground and she was the only one wearing clothes.
2. Courtney got great new rubber boots and I want a pair (red plaid)
3. Delmy went to a Wiggles concert and said it was really fun - which worries me.
Other than that, nothing new!

Happy Birthday Eli!

Eli's Turning one! Can you believe it?! His birthday is actually next week, but we had a little party this weekend. Here are some pictures from his party. His favorite part seemed to be playing with the ice and water bottles from the ice bucket. We had cupcakes, so Eli got to go to town on his own cupcake. I think he preferred smearing it into his hair more than eating it though.

Eli and Noella

We have way more pictures to post on the blog lately. Since we got our new camera, we have a lot more fun taking pictures. Eli's cousin is visiting right now. She's 4 months younger than Eli, so here are some family pictures.

Eli's got a girlfriend!

So Eli hasn't had to much contact with other babies and when he does, he generally treats them like any other inanimate object that he likes - gets excited and bangs his fists on it, slobbers on it, tries to eat it (or him/her) and when he gets bored, steals the other kids toy and crawls away. Generally this frightens/angers other babies and I spend most of my time pulling Eli off of the other kids, who are now crying. However, we've met 1 exception - my friend Katelyn has a little girl that is a month younger than Eli. Eli is big for his age and generally towers over other kids his age (making it all the easier for him to sit on or steamroller other children - another favorite past time). However Kamrynn (my friends daughter) is also tall for her age and is just as big as Eli. She is also the first baby who is not just going to sit and cry while Eli steals her toys and smacks her, so watching her play with Eli is pretty funny. If he has something she wants, she will steal it back. If he tries to walk away with it, she throws her arm around his waist, pulls him to the ground and gets it, since she can't walk after him. Yesterday I watched her WWF wrestle Eli to the floor for a Kix. Katelyn and I laughed so hard we cried.
Here are some pictures from their play date today.
