Disneyland

This year Isaac and I decided we really  needed to have a fun trip with our family.  Most of our time the last 3 years has been spent in doctors offices, dealing with insurance drama, dealing with unemployment, crappy jobs, moving and a lot of other stressful situations.  Both of us just really wanted to have a fun trip with our family, so we decided to take my sister-in-law up of a long ago offer to stay with her in-laws sometime near Disneyland.  We went up for a week, while Isaac's sister and her family were also there.  We did a bunch of fun stuff, but I'm just going to post Disneyland today!
I LOVE Disneyland and there is a very good chance I was way more excited about this part of our trip than anyone else in the family!  We had a great time, going 2 days and taking Isabelle back to where we were staying every night around bedtime and staying until about midnight with Eli, riding rides and watching World of Color and Fantasmic.
Eli had lots of fun, although we had some melt downs, overall he had a blast.
We got to eat at my favorite restaurant outside of Pirates of the Caribbean and get a Monte Cristo sandwich - sooooo  good.
Isabelle did great at Disneyland, even though she couldn't go on all the rides.  And let me tell you, she was bored to death on those baby rides - sister wanted action!  She loved the rides that flipped and moved and twisted.  Her favorite ride was the new ride in Cars Land (which opened the day we were there) Mator's Junkyard Jamboree (this is a picture of her on another ride though!) and her biggest meltdown was after the ride ended and she couldn't keep riding it.  'More, More!' she kept yelling.
Eli and I on one of the new rides at CarsLand.

The second day we went, Kim (Isaac's sister) and her family came with us.  Her kids are the exact same age as our kids and so it is perfect.  Isaac and Darin took the older kids on the bigger rides, while Kim and I enjoyed the Dole Whips.

Summer Came and Went

I know I have been horrible about keeping up with this blog, which is very obvious to me every time I look and notice that my wallpaper is still from Christmas.  And when I think about changing it, I just decide to keep it up until next Christmas.  But it is back to good intentions and I am going to try to add some stuff from our crazy summer.  Now is the perfect time to add some posts, while we spend our evenings watching the Olympics.
So here are a few pictures from June, when we were around town.  We did do a fun family trip to California, but I'll do a separate post for that.  Here is pictures of us trying to keep the kids entertained during the summer and in our new house (more on that soon too!).
Eli and Isabelle went with  my mom's group to tour the fire station in town.  It was Eli's dream trip and he ran from truck to truck, tried on Firemen clothes, toured their station and loved every second.  Isabelle, I honestly have to say, was much more in love with the firemen and was a shameless flirt.
The first night in our new house (we moved in May - you can see the boxes in the background) and Eli caught a lady bug and let her crawl on him, which he thought was so cool that he had to call his grandma and tell her about it.
Trampoline in the sprinklers and our new backyard
For the first month in the new house, every night Eli was sneaking out of his room and sleeping on the tile in the kitchen.  Not sure why, but it was always a surprise to wake up around 2 AM and realize that the kitchen lights are on and Eli is lying on the floor.
And we finally got Isabelle's therapy swing hooked up.  Of course, Eli loves it way more than Isabelle.  For Izzy it is work.  For Eli it is his chance to be Tarzan on the daily basis.
Ok, more to come sometime in the near future, I promise!
