Catching Up

What a crazy few months it has been for us. Our insurance switch has been a major pain. Luckily we were able to keep all of Isabelle's Doctors and Specialists, but not without a fight. We've been having lots of trouble getting her Physical Therapy approved. We finally are on a schedule with all of her Doctors. She sees a Physical Therapist and Developmental Therapist weekly, and then usually has another Dr. apt. for something else. Her Therapists have us doing exercises with her at home about 6 times a day. We're trying to strengthen her head and core muscles so that she can start rolling over, sitting up, etc. She hates it all and it breaks my heart to do these exercises that are obviously painful for her and watch her scream. The worst is after a long session when she just lays her head down on the blanket and whimpers because she doesn't have enough energy to scream anymore. But they are definitely helping her, particularly helping her muscles on her left side, which she doesn't like to use. Her PT said today that she was using both sides much better, which is good news. We're continuing on her seizure meds and she sees her neurologist and has an EEG again the end of July. Hopefully she will grow out of the seizures and not need the medication too much longer. I can definitely see the difference in her eating as her heart has been healing. She is eating so much more and finally starting to put on weight, which is great.
Isaac is still searching for work and we are going to Hood River for the month of July so that he can look in the Oregon/Washington area, so if you know of anything in IT, let us know!
Here are some pictures from our week. Here is Eli and his best friend, Kamrynn, at the splash pads.
Isabelle at the splash pads.
Physical Therapy - one of her exercises is having her sit up in the corner of the couch. She hated it at first, but is tolerating it so much better now.
Isaac took Eli on his first Father/Son campout with our ward and they had a great time. Unfortunately, the camera ran out of batteries after taking this one picture!

Hood River for a month sounds good! Good luck up there. Probably the prefect time to exit Arizona for awhile!
