For those of you who haven't heard, Isabelle Winter Robinson was born last Sun, the 25th. She weighed 6 lbs. 10 oz. and was 20 inches long. It has been a long week, with her immediately being rushed to the NICU with breathing problems and then being transferred to another hosp. for an infection and seizures. She is doing better and to tell the short story, will hopefully be going home next Tues. or Wed., and will have to continue outpatient care with a neurologist and a physical therapist. She's doing better than expected though and is so sweet and perfect. We can't wait to take her home. It's been an emotional roller coaster, making trips to and from the hosp., arranging babysitters, trying to spend time with Eli, etc. We've been so lucky, we've had so many people helping us and offering to help that we feel truly blessed. Isaac's mom has been able to help taking care of Eli, my friend Katelyn has been there for anything from babysitting to cleaning my house while we were at the hosp (how great is that!) and church members have been bringing over dinners and calling non-stop, offering to help with everything from babysitting, to going to the grocery store for us. My aunt is flying in on Sun. to spend a few days with us and mom will also be flying down soon to stay with us for a week and a half. We've been so grateful for all the help and support we've had this last week.
We're calling her Isabelle, Ellie for short. Her middle name is Winter, for my mom (Winter is my mom's maiden name). Here are some of my favorite pictures from this week:
