Roadtrip to Utah

Well, we finally have a car that actually will drive us out of the state without breaking down, so we went to Utah for Presidents Day weekend. I was so excited, I haven't been there in 3 years, so I got to see lots of friends that I haven't seen in a long time. The car ride down was awful - it took 14 hours thanks to snow storms, Isaac forgot his gift card to Snowbird Ski Resort, the reason for the trip (the boys in his family all went snowboarding), Eli screamed until 2 AM (and we left at 7:30PM), and we forgot our gas cap in Flagstaff. We got into Provo Sat. morning, running on no sleep, and for some reason, Eli wasn't about to entertain himself while we slept - go figure.
We got to eat at some of our favorite restaurants while we were there - Bombay House, Cafe Rio, & Great Harvest - and I got to visit a lot of my friends down there.

I got to see the majority of the Cardon kids while I was there (of the 9 kids, I only really knew the 7 youngest, and 6 of the 7 came to Brigham City Sunday, so I was able to see most of them and their kids and spouses!). So fun to see everyone and their kiddos. Here's a picture of only a few of the people there - Sam, Mike, Christy, Laura, Aaron, Cathy, Debbie, Me, Becca, Travis, Aaron in the front and a few kids. Eli and Isaac didn't go, so I actually got to catch up with Debbie and everyone, without being interrupted.

I also got to see my good friend Kelly from Jerusalem. Us attempting to take a picture with kids crawling all over us. Eli, Lexie, Quincy, Kelly and me.

I spent Monday in SLC with Amy (another great friend from Jerusalem), her kids, and Jeremy.

And, one of the Brazilian sisters from my mission married a boy from Bountiful, so I got to see her (and practice my Porteguese). It had been 7 years of emailing and phone calls, so it was great to see Sister Souza in person!
The Roomies! Or, at least some of them. More Jerusalem friends - Natalie, Rachie and Des. So excited for Roommate Reunion in Oct!

All in all, it was a great trip, despite the fact that I drove a total of 33 hours in 3 1/2 days, and got no sleep. I don't miss Utah weather (I forgot how cold it is there - we were dying!), but I do miss all my friends that live there, and Tucanos (the one restaurant on our list that we weren't able to hit). Now it's your turn to come to AZ!
